학부대학

천주교 서울대교구 소속 신부로, 로마에 있는 교황청립 살레시오 대학교의 그리스도교 고전 문학과에서 수학하였다. ‘오리게네스의 아가서 주석에 나타난 영적 여정’을 주제로 석사 학위를 취득했으며, 2016년 ‘사도 바오로의 테살로니카 1서 (4,13-17)에 관한 오리게네스의 해석: 텍스트 분석과 오리게네스의 다른 작품 및 몹수에스티아의 테오도루스의 주석과의 비교 연구’를 주제로 박사 학위를 취득했다. 귀국 후, 본당사목을 병행하며 가톨릭 대학교 성신교정에서 기초 라틴어 과목  강사를 역임한 후, 현재 가톨릭대학교 학부대학 소속 교수로 재직 중이다. 교회법대학원에서는 본 학과의 기초과목인 라틴어와 이탈리아어를 가르치고 있다. 

He is a priest belonging to the Catholic Archdiocese of Seoul and studied at the Department of Christian and Classical Literature at the Pontifical Salesian University in Rome. He received his master degree on the topic 'Spiritual Journey in Origen's Commentary on the Song of Songs', and in 2016 he received his doctoral degree in 'Origen's Interpretation of Apostle Paul's 1 Thessalonians (4:13-17): Textual Analysis and Comparative study with other works of Origen and Commentary of Theodorus of Mopsuestia.' After returning to Korea, he served as an instructor of basic Latin at the Catholic University of Korea's Seongshin campus while simultaneously serving as a pastor at the parish. He is currently serving as a professor at the Catholic University's undergraduate college. At the Graduate School of Canon Law, he teaches Latin and Italian, the department's basic subjects.

가톨릭대학교 학부대학 소속 교수이며, 주로 문학작품이 인간의 내적 성장에 미치는 영향에 대해 관심을 두고 있다. 
연세대학교 중어중문학과에서 고전시가 전공으로 수학하며 「唐宋 禪詩의 心象 活用에 관한 연구」로 박사학위를 취득하였고, 중국사회과학원(中国社会科学院, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences) 문학연구소에서 방문학자로 근무하며 문예학/미학 분야로 연구의 지평을 확장하였다.
고려대장경연구소 및 가톨릭대학교 글로벌인문경영연구소에서 융복합 연구 과제를 수행한 바 있으며, 한국중어중문학회, 한국교양교육학회, 한국수사학회, 동아시아고대학회, 대한중국학회, 한국동아시아과학철학회, 한국중국문학이론학회의 임원을 역임하였다.
주요 저서 및 논문으로는 『위대한 수사학 고전들』(공저),『글로벌 문화와 인문경영』(공저),『글로벌 평화와 인문경영철학』(공저),「고통과 극복의 시적 체현」, 「한중 선시 속 불이 관념과 갈등 해소를 위한 제언」, 「선종 문예 심미와 인성 교육에 관한 소고」 등이 있다.

Shin Eui-sun:
She is a professor in the College of General Education at the Catholic University of Korea. Her main interests are in the impact of literary works on human internal growth. She majored in classical poetry at Yonsei University’s Department of Chinese Language and Literature and received her doctorate in “A Study on the Use of Mental Images of the Tang and Song Zen Poetry.” She expanded her research horizons as a visiting scholar in literary science and aesthetics at the Institute of Literature, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
She has participated in interdisciplinary research projects at the Tripitaka Koreana Research Institute and the Global Humanities and Management Research Institute at Catholic University. Additionally, has been actively involved in various academic societies, including the Korean Association of Chinese Language and Literature, The Korean Society of Liberal Arts Education, the Rhetoric Society of Korea, the Association of East Asian Ancient Studies, the Korean Association for Chinese Studies etc.
Her notable publications and papers include “Great Rhetoric Classics” (co-author), “Poetic Embodiment of Sufferings and Restoration,” “The Non-Duality in Korean and Chinese Zen Poetry and Suggestions for Conflict Resolution”, “Study on Aesthetic Appreciation of Zen Literature and Moral Education” etc.

모든 인간이 피할 수 없는 운명처럼 직면하게 되는 "고통 속에서도 신의 존재를 체험할 수 있고, 희망할 수 있는 가능성이 있는가?"를 살펴보는 일이 주요 연구 주제라 할 수 있다. 이는 종교의 유무와 관계 없이 인간이라면 누구나 한 번쯤 인생에서 고민하게 되는 주제이며, 이 고통의 순간을 어떻게 직면하고 이겨내는 지에 따라 누군가는 신의 존재를 확신하기도 하고, 누군가는 신의 부재 또는 죽음을 주장하기에 이르기도 한다. 그렇다면 그리스도교 신앙은 과연 이 (무죄한) 고통의 문제에 어떠한 긍정적 해석 전망을 제공할 수 있는지 성찰할 필요성이 있으며, 더 나아가 고통 속에서도 우리와 함께 아파하시는 사랑의 하느님의 현존을 발견할 수 있는 가능성을 제시할 수 있어야 할 것이다. 이러한 전망이야말로 현대 사회에서 그리스도교 신앙의 긍정적 가치를 증거할 수 있는 효과적인 선교 방법이 될 수 있을 것이다. 이러한 이유로 고통의 문제를 다루는 영화, 연극, 소설 등의 문학 장르에 대한 신학적 비평을 통해, 사람들이 보다 알기 쉽게 그리스도교에서 바라보는 고통의 의미에 대해 소개하려는 노력을 기울이고 있다.

The main research topic is examining the question if it is possible to experience the existence of God and have hope even in suffering. This is the topic that every human being, regardless of religion or not, ponders at least once in their lives. Depending on how they face and overcome this moment of pain, some may be convinced of the existence of God, while others may claim the absence or death of God. If so, there is a need to reflect on what kind of positive interpretive perspective the Christian faith can provide to this problem of (innocent) suffering, and furthermore, the possibility of discovering the presence of a loving God who suffers with us even in suffering. This outlook could be an effective missionary method that can testify to the positive value of the Christian faith in present society. For this reason, efforts are being made to introduce the meaning of suffering from a Christian perspective in a way that is easier for people to understand through theological criticism of literary genres such as movies, plays, and novels that deal with the issue of suffering.

정태영 신부는 중세 그리스도교 영성저자들의 작품을 중심으로 연구를 하고 있다. 그 작품들이 후대에 끼친 영향과 오늘날에 가지는 의미들을 탐구하며 영성생활의 쇄신과 올바른 방향제시를 위해 노력하고 있다. 또한 영성의 실천적 적용을 위해 융복합학과인 중독학과에 참여하고 있다. 여기서 영성을 기반으로 한 중독회복에 대해 탐구하고 있다.

Father Jeung Tae-young has been focusing on the works of Christian spiritual authors in the Middle Ages. By exploring the influence of these works on later generations, he is trying to renew spiritual life in contemporary society. Moreover, he is also involved in the Addiction Studies faculty, examining the possibility of recoveries through spirituality.

Professor Gina Rhee is an Assistant Professor at The Catholic University of Korea, where she contributes to the field of law with her background in Comparative Criminal Justice. Professor Rhee received her Ph.D. from Yonsei University and her J.D. from University of Minnesota Law School. She graduated with high honors from University of California, Berkeley, with concentration on East Asian Languages and Cultures.

Professor Rhee's research is diverse, covering East Asian cultures, criminal justice, animal law, and legal psychology. Her dissertation on cultural defense and expert witnesses in criminal proceedings highlights her dedication to understanding cultural nuances in legal contexts. Professor Rhee has also gained extensive professional experience through various law clerk positions, research roles, and internships at law firms and organizations in both South Korea and the United States.

Professor Rhee's linguistic abilities, including fluency in English and Korean, and professional proficiency in Japanese and Chinese, further enhance her global perspective on legal studies.

교수는 40년간 군 생활을 했고 육군 소장으로 전역했어요. 군 생활동안 한미 연합군사령부에서 작전처장과 부참모장, 유엔군사령부에서 군사정전위원회 수석대표, 합참에서 전시작전권 전환 단장 등 정책부서와 보병 2사단 사단장을 역임함. 특히 10년 이상의 한미 연합사 근무를 통해 한미동맹 강화를  현장에서 직접 구현하면서 한반도를 둘러싼 우리의 안보가 매우 엄중함을 경험했고  미군과의 접점에서 국익을 위해 군사 외교를 수행하였음. 보병 2사단장 재직시에는 솔선수범으로 병사들과 하나가 되어 단결을 유도하는 섬김형 리더십을 구현하였음. 이러한 경험을 대학에 적용하여 한국의 안보 현실과 대응책 등을 학생들에게 제시하고 글로벌 환경에서 탁월한 능력을 성장시키는 선한 영향력을 주고 학생들이 꿈을 사회에서 구현할 수 있도록 열과 성의를 다해 지도함. 또한 군 입대를 앞 둔 학생이나 자신의 목표가 불투명한 학생들에게 명확한 진로를 알려주는 멘토 역할을 최우선의 목표로 추진함.

Retired as Major General after 40 years service in Military. Assignments  were Chief of Operations division, DCOS in CFC, SM of UNCMAC of UNC, Director of OPCON Transfer Group in JCOS and Division Commander in 2th Inf. Division. Performance more than 10 years in CFC enhanced ROK-US alliance, experienced current national security, carried out military diplomacy activities in juncture with US military. As Division Commander, I demonstrated Servant leadership by using Set the Example to make One Spirit. Show current National Security & take measures by my Military experiences, In order to upgrade their capabiltiy, I Give Good Influence to students under global society. Eventually dreams come true through my passion & responsibility. My first priority is Mentor for students who will join armed forces & have ambiguity in life!
